It’s been 6 months since our first hack day and we are still learning and developing from our day of sprinting, jamming and hacking with Hippo Digital.
Back in April, Hippo gathered around 50 digital and process management industry professionals to help Kidz Klub solve some problems and streamline the volunteering process. If we were to put a price on this time and expertise given in just one day, it comes to £10k! A BIG thank you to all involved.
People from government departments, EE, Joseph Rowntree, Hippo and many other private and public sector organisations put their heads together to come up with a whole heap of amazing ideas that would reduce paperwork, save time and make the whole process of recruiting, training and managing volunteers a whole lot quicker, easier and more user friendly.
But that has not been the end. Hippo has stuck with us and are helping us make the genius ideas a reality. In a few weeks time Hippo will be leading us through the next stage of the process: implementation. We can’t wait to get stuck in. A team of Hippo pros will volunteer and work together to implement the new processes over a weekend, making the volunteering process better all round for everyone. We will let you know when this is up and running.
Liz Whitefield, Director of Hippo, said: “Working with the team at Kidz Klub has been a great opportunity for us to make a big difference for a charity making a huge impact for kids in Leeds.
“For maximum impact we didn’t want to confine our support to one day or event, so follow up with implementation was a key to success. Plus, over the coming months we plan to help Kidz Klub with streamlining, digitizing and transforming other processes and systems too, maximizing what we can offer to benefit the charity and wider community.”
Kidz Klub is 18 years old now, and working with Hippo to digitize and improve processes and interactions with people involved with Kidz Klub is just one way that we are growing up. Watch this space for more news about us coming of age and more work with Hippo.
