Kidz Klub Leeds is committed to keeping children safe

This is the primary aim in everything that we do.  This shapes what we do and how we do it in many ways, including:

Our People

  • All volunteers and staff working with the children must complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service, complete an application form and gain references
  • Our volunteers and staff undergo initial training and continual training to stay on top of what we are doing.  This training includes safeguarding children and Kidz Klub policies and procedures
  • Our team is made up of family people who are themselves parents and grandparents, brothers and sisters, people who give up their time for free because they care about children in our city

Our activities

  • Kidz Klub Leeds’ Child Protection Policy is reviewed annually, this policy is available on request to parents and carers
  • All Kidz Klub Leeds activities are risk assessed before they are carried out, whether it is an activity we do once, once a year or every week
  • Our Health and Safety Policy is reviewed annually by our designated Health and Safety officer
  • All buses we use have seat belts and the rule on our buses is the children must wear them
