Here is some information about our current Advisory Board.

Andy Lloyd

 Andy is a qualified social worker and began his career working in the residential child care sector before moving to work in the fields of child protection and youth justice. After working in statutory services for 8 years, he then moved into the third sector where he managed a large family support service in Leeds. He then moved to work at two of the three Universities in Leeds, latterly as Head of Department. Nearly nine years ago, he took up the post of Head of Children’s Workforce Development and Change at Leeds Children’s Services.

Andy is passionate about restorative and relational practice and ensuring that the voice of children is heard and that their voice has influence.

He has been involved with Kidz Klub since 2017, and prior to that supporting us with training. 

In his own words:

I am constantly amazed at the extraordinary work that the Kidz Klub team do – bringing hope and fun to children living in some of our more disadvantaged areas of the city. Their commitment to the children of Leeds is very humbling. Children in Leeds (and their families) benefit on a weekly basis for the work of Kidz Klub.

I hope that I can offer some of my social work career experience along with more than 30 years of church leadership to help the trustees and the management team as we move into the next phase of the life of this amazing organisation.

Andy has been a huge support and has invested a lot of time in guiding and training the team which we are very grateful for.

Adrian Byrne

In his own words:

I was very privileged to grow up as part of a Christian family who were actively involved in a local church, but I love the fact that Kidz Klub reach out to children who don't have that opportunity and otherwise might not get to hear the good news about Jesus. I am a chartered accountant who specialises in producing management accounts for charities, and I want to use these skills in a small way by being an independent pair of eyes to look over the figures and to be a sounding board for discussing financial issues.

Adrian has provided his accounting insight and support for the Trustees and Leadership team in managing the budget and financial planning. He is a huge asset to the Kidz Klub team.

Hippo Digital

Hippo are a brilliant digital company comprised of a multifaceted team of analysts consultants, user researchers, interaction designers, experience designers, delivery managers, content designers, application developers, business analysts, front-end developers and database engineers. The team at Hippo have over 15 years of experience in setting up and managing digital transformation programmes for both the private and public sectors, and they have supported us here at Kidz Klub since 2018 to introduce digital processes and user focused design for our administration, volunteer management and vast registers for over 1000 children. We think they are awesome are we very grateful.
